As-built Services
Asset Location and Documentation
At Tiaki Engineering Consultants, our crew of experienced survey technicians regularly undertake as-built surveying and documentation.
The beneficiary of a set of As-builts is most often a local or regional council, but the contract principal can vary. Precise and accurate documentation of new or upgraded services is best carried out during construction.
TECL provides surveying and liaison with Contractors and other site personnel to locate new or existing underground services. These can include water mains, power lines, gas lines, communications infrastructure, and a number of other services and assets.
After surveying and documenting the assets with our in-house GPS equipment and Total Stations, we prepare all the required data and plans for upload to the appropriate Geographic Information System (GIS). TECL has well-established protocols and software for lodging the As-builts with the interested Council.
Our wider team of Tiaki Engineering Consultants benefit greatly from this in-house expertise as it means that we can draw on in-house survey expertise where required.
