Company Profile
Tiaki Engineering Consultants opened its doors in 2011. Since then we have continued to grow from strength to strength, working with our Partners and Clients to deliver exceptional design solutions that are fit for purpose.
Tiaki is locally owned and operated by Philip Kruis and Carel de Jager, based in Tauranga and serving the Bay of Plenty, Waikato, Coromandel, and South Auckland regions.
Carel is a Chartered Professional Engineer with nearly two decades of experience in civil and structural engineering. Philip, with a background in electrical engineering and project management, holds an MBA from the University of Waikato and continues to lead the business vision and operations.
The team at Tiaki prides itself on developing caring relationships with all our clients. We believe in looking after our clients by listening to and understanding their wishes and requirements and translating these into successful projects.
Safety Statement
At Tiaki Engineering Consultants we take safety seriously. Our professional conduct is underpinned by the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and we pride ourselves in keeping current with industry best practices.
Through regular safety training, our team remains well informed and aware of any site-specific hazards, while personal protective equipment is to be worn by all executing work under our brand to mitigate injury to self and others.
Quality Assurance
Tiaki stands by its philosophy to provide excellent engineering services to all. Tiaki knows that through active listening with the aim to thoroughly understand a client’s needs, the best outcomes are achieved.
A fundamental part of our quality system is our diligent review and approval process. All formal reports, drawings, and documentation are reviewed by a senior project manager, engineer, or director prior to authorising it for implementation.
The Project Quality Manager carries accountability for all project documents, outputs, and deliverables. Reports will be released when the Project Quality Manager is satisfied that Tiaki has met the objectives and the contractual requirements imposed.
Through this tried and tested method, high quality documentation is prepared and delivered to all our clients in a timely manner.
