Tiaki Engineering Consultants
Tiaki is a locally owned and operated consultancy led by Philip Kruis and Carel de Jager. Based in Tauranga, we provide civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering services across the Bay of Plenty, Waikato, Coromandel, and South Auckland regions.
Since 2011, our team has delivered robust, practical solutions backed by strong relationships and clear communication. We combine technical depth with a down-to-earth approach, ensuring our work is buildable, fit-for-purpose, and grounded in care – the meaning behind our name.
Carel is a Chartered Professional Engineer with over 20 years of experience across land development and infrastructure design. Philip brings leadership and business insight from his electrical systems and project management background, supported by an MBA from the University of Waikato.
