Objective
Tiaki Engineering Consultants Ltd (TECL) was responsible for the design and replacement of part of the 300m existing wharf structure in Pauanui. The purpose of the project was to widen the walkway and replace the first half of a section of the wharf and reposition it to achieve a wider boat ramp.
TECL worked closely with Bridge It NZ to assist with the design and construction of the new wharf. The structure consisted of driven steel casings covering reinforced concrete piles which supported precast concrete T beams with balustrades for the public to get access to the jetty.
